Release of V5.5

At the start of this new year we would like to share the highlights of the new features in EyeQuestion that we hope will help in your daily workflow.

Restore button

It can happen to anyone; you are editing a questionnaire and by mistake you delete a question or a screen. To resolve this a new feature has been added which allows you to restore the deleted question or screen. You will be able to restore deleted questions or screens unless you refresh your screen or exit the questionnaire. By default the restore button is grayed out and becomes available once there is a question/screen that can be restored.

Registration

Are you looking to expand your panellist database? This feature allows users to recruit panellists using the EyeQuestion registration template and send out automatic confirmation emails to panellists from the application. This feature is now available in EyeQuestion although it was previously only available in EyeContact

Once a new panellist signs up, EyeQuestion

helps you to check if this might be a duplicate sign up of someone who is already part of your database. After your approval the panellist will be included in the database. To find out more about this feature click here.

Panellist personal information

In order to collect panellist’s characteristics data (for example: data about household demographics) users can set up a questionnaire that will be visible when the panellist logs in to the EyeQuestion portal. This data can later be used to filter a panel and invite specific groups of panellists for a study. This questionnaire can be filled in multiple times in which case EyeQuestion updates previous answers when a panelist completes their information.

Quality Index Analysis

The quality index analysis can be found under the panellist analyses and this analysis is based on the ANOVA analysis. The purpose of this analysis is to measure the reliability of univariate sensory descriptive data. It can help you to assess if your panellists are providing reliable and repeatable data. If you would like to learn more about this analysis, please click here.

New languages: Japanese and Swahili

Recently Japanese and Swahili translations were added to the full EyeQuestion interface. Users can change their default language to Japanese or Swahili from their avatar icon or save their default language in their EyeQuestion account.

It is also possible to create questionnaires and display warning messages to your panellists in these languages besides the other 40+ languages available in the panellist interface.

Improvements

Live Data Monitor

The Live Data Monitor tool is helpful for users to quickly look at the results in a bar chart format within a single click. Previously the live data monitor functionality was only compatible with category questions and displayed the frequency results. But now it also works for line scale questions and displays the product means in graphical form. The bar chart can be downloaded in multiple formats. Access to the Live Data Monitor is improved by making it available via the Project analysis dropdown on the Export page within a Project.
