About us

Innovate smarter and faster

Hundreds of the world’s leading organisations work with EyeQuestion to improve their products.
For over two decades, EyeQuestion has been at the forefront of innovation, developing the world’s first web application software for Sensory and Consumer Research back in 2001. Our software is used in over 30 countries around the world by thousands of users.

We have provided these organisations with all the tools required to conduct their Sensory and Consumer Research and at the same time have long-term collaborations with them to further develop our software based on specific customer needs as well as anticipating market needs and new technologies.

In 2001 both founders, Rignald Span and Gerben Ernst, worked at a software development company creating tailor-made software for several Dutch companies. In their spare time they started creating a web application to conduct advanced online surveys. Initially they called it ‘Question8’ and started sending out demo’s of the new program to Dutch companies that were interested.

Having shown immediate enthusiasm for the software package, late Pieter Punter who was CEO of OP&P Research and driving force behind the Dutch Sensory Research community, introduced them to the world of sensory and the challenges this type of research was facing. Rignald and Gerben instantly started generating ideas on how things could be improved. The rapid acceleration of internet technology in the late 1990s and early 2000s inspired both developers to somehow incorporate worldwide connectivity to the world of sensory research.

After adapting their existing software to the needs of the sensory world, EyeQuestion was created and Logic8 BV became the very first company to introduce fully web-based Sensory Research software. The years followed saw the company grow, adding staff and expanding their software modules to incorporate both panel management and a sensory analysis.

Now, 20 years later, the system is used worldwide by the largest companies in the world, supporting them in all tasks related to Sensory and Consumer Research.
